Vice President Arrives In Japan, Goes Straight To Hotel Continue Activities Tomorrow
OSAKA - Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin arrived in Osaka, Japan, Sunday at 17.00 local time. The vice president, accompanied by his wife Wury Amin, will be on a five-day working visit from 5-9 March 2023.
The arrival of the Vice President was warmly welcomed by the Indonesian Ambassador to Japan and the Micronesian Federation Heri Akhmadi, the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia Osaka Diana Emilla Sari Sutikno, the Indonesian Defense Attache Tokyo Kol. (AF) Andi Bur Abadi, and Ambassador Tsutomu Himeno.
After arriving, the Vice President and his wife went straight to the hotel where they spent the night in Osaka and continued their activities the next day.
Previously, the spokesman for Vice President Masduki Baidlowi said that during a working visit in Japan, the Vice President would visit Osaka and Kyoto.
In Osaka, the Vice President will inaugurate the Istiqlal Osaka Mosque in Japan, which is the largest mosque in Japan. The mosque was built by the Indonesian community in Japan.
"This mosque is the pride of Indonesian citizens in Japan," explained Masduki, quoted by Antara.
While in Kyoto, as an area that has been the capital city of Japan for 1,000 years and acts as a center of politics and culture, the Vice President will speak at theapprogram at Kyoto University which is Japan's second best university.
"He as a keynote speech at Kyoto University and the Vice President will talk about Indonesia's experience as a plural country that can carry out life peacefully in a religious context," he explained.
He said Japan is a country that has also successfully carried out a peaceful religious life well and Indonesia has the same experience.
The vice president as the representative of the Indonesian government will hold a number of bilateral discussions with several elements of the Japanese government, including the governor.
"In addition, there are talks with Indonesians in Japan in Osaka and Kyoto," said Masduki.
