Indra Q's Grief When His Uncle, Guitarist Of The Era Of The 60s Quarta Nada, Dies
JAKARTA - The keyboardist of the BIP band, Indra Qadarsih is grieving. His uncle, Yamang Sardjan, guitarist for the old 60s band, died last Friday.
"Innalillahi wa innailaihi rooji'un. Sugeng did Pakdhe Yamang Sardjan Al fatihah," wrote the man who is familiarly called Indra Q on Instagram.
Yamang breathed his last on Friday at around 05.50 am at his home in Pamulang, South Tangerang. He is 80 years old.
The news of Yamang's departure was first announced by Indonesian music observer Stanley Tulung on social media. He re-uploaded chain messages from the family.
"Innaalillahi wa innaailaihi rojiun. Our beloved father, our beloved Yangung, Bp. H. Surachman bin H. M. Sardjan, was 80 years old at around 05.50 WIB this morning at Pamulang Permai house AX20 no. 1, South Tangerang," the sad news began.
"God willing, the funeral will be held on Friday prayers at the Annur Pamulang Mosque at the Giritama Tonjong cemetery, Leli 58. Please forgive him for all his mistakes. Wassalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh," the news continued.
Yamang is the guitarist of the music group Quarta Nada which was active in the mid-60s.
In addition, Yamang is also the older brother of Totok Sardjan (husband of Henny Purwonegoro - In-laws of Once Mekel), Titi Qadarsih (mother of BIP keyboardist Indra Q), Sally Sardjan, and Noengki Sardjan.
