There Is A Lot Of Potential Not Yet Digalized, Garut Asked By The Ministry Of Education And Culture To Inventory Disbursed Cultural Conservation
GARUT - The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) has asked the Garut Regency Government (Pemkab) to make an inventory of all cultural heritages that have been scattered. This effort was made to become an attraction for education, culture, and tourism.
"So that this culture can be explored, it can be explored, the important thing is not to forget the validity values, conservation values, such as the government's encouragement," said the Working Group for the Development of the Cultural Institute of the Ministry of Education and Culture Wawan Yogaswara during the Technical Guidance (Bimtek). ) The increase in the Capacity of Cultural Conservation Workers in Garut, Friday, March 3, was confiscated by Antara.
The Ministry of Education and Culture, he said, assessed that Garut Regency has many cultural heritage potentials that must continue to be explored because so far it has not been properly inventoried, so it is not integrated to the national level.
He said the existence of cultural heritage is quite important and can have an impact on various sectors, such as economy, education, and tourism.
For this reason, he continued, the Ministry of Education and Culture is trying to help the Garut Regency Government record the scattered cultural heritage by preparing human resources that have insights in the preservation of cultural heritage, including through the technical guidance.
He hopes that in the future various objects and other objects that have cultural and historical values in Garut can be inventoried, then proposed to the central government so that they can be designated as cultural heritage objects.
"So that the culture at the regional level is important... Later, experts or a team of cultural heritage experts will conduct studies related to the level of cultural heritage," said Wawan.
Member of Commission X DPR RI Ferdiansyah supports the Kemendikbudristek program to optimize the inventory of Garut cultural heritage which he considers to be large, but only a small part is integrated to the national level.
According to him, Garut cultural heritage includes historical buildings such as Cibatu Station, Garut Station, and Cikajang Station. There are also a number of buildings that are used as factories and houses for Dutch East Indies officials in tea plantation areas in Cisompet, Cibalong, Cikelet, Cisewu, and other areas.
The historic building, he said, has not yet been listed as a cultural heritage in the center, even though its existence and authenticity are unquestionable. This problem could be because the local government (Pemda) has limited human resources that have expertise in cultural heritage.
"That's why this bimtek activity is one of the efforts of the central government through the Ministry of Education and Culture in collaboration with Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives to encourage local governments to be more optimal in inventorying cultural heritage objects," he said.
Head of the Garut Regency Tourism and Culture Office, Agus Ismail, added that the increase in cultural heritage personnel is one part of the government in efforts to preserve culture, especially about objects.
He conveyed that Garut Regency needs personnel who do have capabilities related to cultural heritage so that everything can be recorded properly, then it can be reported to the central government so that it can be considered more.
"I really hope that the whole community can be involved, because earlier we also shared that to be able to preserve this cultural heritage cannot only be carried out by the government, but the participation of this community is extraordinary, especially in maintaining, maintaining and developing the cultural heritage itself," he said.
