Rion Residents Of Lubuklinggau Sumsel Transit In Jakarta, Aircraft Diverted From NAM Air To Sriwijaya SJ-182

PALEMBANG - A resident of Lubuklinggau City, South Sumatra, Rion Yogatama (30) became a passenger on a Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 plane that crashed in the Thousand Islands.

Rion Yogatama's wife, Vivi, said that her husband had originally left for Jakarta on Friday, January 8 with the airline Batik Air. Rion then stayed one night then continued the journey to Pontianak.

"Last time I contacted him at 12.30 WIB, he said he would go there (Pontianak) at 15.00 WIB," Vivi said as quoted by Antara, Sunday, January 10.

She had asked her husband's colleague in Pontianak about the estimated schedule for the plane to land because WhatsApp and Rion's phone could not be reached.

Vivi then tried to contact her husband's colleague when she heard the news of the Sriwijaya Air plane crash in the Thousand Islands to confirm her husband's plane.

However, until now she has not received any information regarding her husband's condition.

Vivi also explained that initially her husband did not plan to take Sriwijaya Air because the tickets purchased were listed on the Lubuklinggau-Jakarta-Pontianak transit route using Nam Air, departing at 07.00 WIB, Saturday, January 9.

"He was transferred from Nam to Sriwijaya, scheduled to leave at 13.00 WIB," he said.

Vivi still hopes there will be good news regarding her husband's condition and asks the community to pray for all the victims.

Rion is known to have left for Pontianak to fulfill a calling, previously the victim worked in the field of network tower construction from Aceh, Bali to Papua.
