PDI-P Politician BIlang Jokowi Needs Evaluation Of His Ministers
JAKARTA - The tenure of President Joko Widodo and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, which has entered 100 days, is a moment to evaluate their leadership programs and performance.
PDI-P politician Effendi Simbolon considered Jokori-Ma'ruf's 100 working days was able to create political stability because he carried his former rival, Prabowo Subianto, into the government.
However, Effendi said Jokowi had weaknesses in arranging the ranks of the ministers in the Advanced Indonesia cabinet. According to him, several ministry posts were filled by people who did not have track records in accordance with their fields.
"So the question is whether Jokowi's capital (political stability) has been utilized optimally by the composition of the crew on board Pak Jokowi's ship?" Effendi said during a discussion in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, Saturday, February 8.
"We'll see, there are people in the cabinet who have no business, but their position is there. (For example) a doctor becomes a mechanic, a mechanic becomes a surgeon," he added.
This member of Commission I DPR RI thinks that several ministers have not worked optimally during Jokowi's 3 months of leadership. Therefore, a number of Jokowi's ministers need to have their work evaluated.
Jokowi, according to him, has many programs in the economic field. However, the program was not supported by the minister in the finance sector. Effendi asked Jokowi to evaluate Finance Minister Sri Mulyani. This is because Sri Mulyani is considered to have no selling value in the eyes of the market.
"If it is necessary, why not look for a fresh Minister of Finance. So, the treasury has a selling value in the market. I do not dislike Mrs. Sri Mulyani, but the proof is that until this sixth year now, there are no points of sale value then boost the program Pak Jokowi, "said Effendi.
Apart from Sri Mulyani, Effendi highlighted the performance of the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan and the Minister of Tourism Wishnutama. According to Effendi, the two ministers have not worked according to Jokowi's expectations.
"How is the Minister of Tourism, how come, there has been no clear program for several months. This is an example. Many other ministers are the same. The minister of investment, how about investing, wants to attract investment," he said.
Then, Effendi also highlighted the performance of the Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim. According to Effendi, Nadiem's background as a former boss of Go-Jek has nothing to do with the world of education.
"I saw him (Nadiem), just taking care of Gojek. He let the riders take care of the motorbike and himself but he also asked for profit sharing. How about people like that then asked him to care about morals and education," said Effendi.
The proposed removal of the coordinating minister
Furthermore, Effendi suggested that Jokowi remove the post of coordinating minister (menko). Because, he considered the coordinating minister's post to complicate the bureaucracy.
"Now I see the Coordinating Minister's function is not very effective. So, the minister is also confused to whom he is responsible for. To the vice president but how come via the Coordinating Minister, or to the President. Or where, or to the KSP," said Effendi.
Therefore, he hopes that the former governor of DKI Jakarta will remove the post of Coordinating Minister in his cabinet. "If you want to run fast, there is no need for a Coordinating Minister. All ministers are ministers who directly implement their policies," he said.
In response, the Chief Expert of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) Donny Gahral Adian opened the possibility that Jokowi would reshuffle a number of ministers in his cabinet.
"I think Pak Jokowi will be firm, because he doesn't have any burden. We'll just wait. I don't think it will be long, in the near future," added Donny.
