The National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) stated that there was no emergency signal emitted by the Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) from the Sriwijaya Air SJ 182 plane which crashed in the waters of the Thousand Islands.
"We checked on the ELT on the Sriwijaya 182 plane (SJ182, red) because all of the planes were registered at Basarnas ELT.
