Fishermen In The Vicinity Of The Missing Sriwijaya Air SJ 182 Plane Call There An Explosion
JAKARTA - Commander of the Trisula Ship from the Ministry of Transportation, Captain Eko, said that his party received a report on the crash of a Sriwijaya Air plane with flight number SJ 182 from fishermen around the scene in the Thousand Islands.
At that time, the fisherman who reported the crash of the plane claimed to have heard an explosion like the sound of lightning.
"Based on the information available from the fishermen, there was an explosion because the weather was raining, so they thought it was the sound of lightning," said Eko as quoted in his interview with TVOne, Saturday, January 9.
Furthermore, Eko admitted that his party saw a puddle that was suspected to be fuel for aircraft or aviation fuel around the location.
"Avtur came out from the inside (sea, red), incidentally it was 15-16 meters deep," he said.
In addition, he also admitted to finding other debris, including life jackets or buoys that are usually provided on the plane.
"There are equipment on board such as life jackets for a while, the number is around five or six," he said.
Previously reported, based on data from flightradar24, the Sriwijaya Air plane for the Jakarta-Pontianak route departed Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten at 14.36 WIB and the estimated arrival was scheduled for 15.15 WIB.
It's just that, this plane recently reportedly lost contact around the waters of the Thousand Islands.
