The Division Of Tasks And Budget Is The Reason For PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir To Directly Lead The U-20 World Cup Local Committee

PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir decided to directly lead the local committee (LOC) of the U-20 World Cup. He hopes that this step will coordinate LOC with INAFOC (Indonesia FIFA U-20 World Cup Organizing Committee) which will become the central committee, so it will be maximized.

Erick also stated that his decision to lead the LOC himself was to facilitate coordination and division of tasks with INAFOC.

"So that LOC and INAFOC coordination can be effective and efficient, including the division of tasks so as not to overlapping," said the SOE Minister on the official PSSI website.

In addition to the task, LOC will also discuss budget sharing with INAFOC so as not to overlap.

"So that we are all orderly. Where is the government budget and sponsor budget, both from FIFA sponsors and local sponsors. All budgets should not be mixed. It's just about opening and closing ceremonies, we have submitted it to INAFOC," he explained.

Erick said this is not the first time he has done this. He revealed that the same thing had been done at the 2018 Asian Games between INASGOC and KOI.

Erick emphasized that quick steps by cutting the flow of bureaucracy are important to do. This is to realize the success of the U20 World Cup which is only 81 days away.

"The U-20 World Cup where we will host is when we show the world again that Indonesia can be a good host, who has successfully organized the competition with the best quality. It must not fail," said Erick.
