Fire Scorched 3 Shophouses In Meulaboh Aceh, Fire Has Been Successfully Extinguished By Firefighters
WEST AceH - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of West Aceh Regency deployed five units of fire fleets to the fire site, which scorched three units of shop houses (ruko) on the National Road section, Meulaboh, at around 09.51 WIB."There are five units of the fleet that we have deployed to the location to extinguish the fire," said West Aceh BPBD Operations Control Center Coordinator Mashuri in Meulaboh Aceh, Antara, Thursday, March 2.He said that until Thursday afternoon the fire conditions could be controlled and some of the hotspots at the fire site had been successfully extinguished, although at the scene there was still smoke left.Efforts to extinguish the fire were carried out by West Aceh BPBD personnel assisted by West Aceh Police personnel, West Aceh Kodim 0105, humanitarian volunteers and the community at the scene.Mashuri explained that the fire that scorched three shophouses, one coffee shop unit each, a dental patch business, and a clothing store became children and women, so far the cause is unknown."The cause of the fire is still under police investigation," said Mashuri."We are still trying to extinguish the fire, hopefully there will be no casualties," he hoped.In addition, police officers from the West Aceh Police, TNI personnel from Kodim 0105 West Aceh together with the community also helped the community evacuate goods from a number of shophouses at the scene.The evacuation of merchandise was intended to avoid fire in a number of burning shophouses.
