IRT In East Kotawaringin Caught Selling Drugs, Police Found 40.16 Grams Of Crystal Meth
JAKARTA - The housewife (IRT) with the initials J (41) was arrested by officers of the Central Kalimantan Regional Police's Narcotics Research Directorate for involvement in the sale of crystal methamphetamine.
From the hands of the perpetrator, who is a resident of Jalan Suka Damai Gang Fitra, Baamang Hilir Village, Baamang District, Kotawaringin Timur Regency, the officers helped secure evidence of 40.16 grams of crystal methamphetamine.
Director of the Central Kalimantan Regional Police's Narcotics Investigation Commission Nono Wardoyo said that J was arrested on Thursday, January 7. "From the hands of the suspect, our members managed to confiscate 40.16 grams of the nine packages along with a number of other pieces of evidence such as digital scales," said Nono Wardoyo in Palangka Raya, as reported by Antara, Saturday, January 9.
The perpetrator had long been stalked by officers because he was part of the narcotics network. J's dark operation started 7 months ago. He obtained supplies of these illicit goods from Pontianak City, West Kalimantan.
Information on the methamphetamine trade, said Nono Wardoyo, was received by officers from public reports.
"On this matter, the team carried out an investigation and development, so that the whereabouts of the suspect were known. Until finally the raids were carried out and secured the narcotics evidence," he explained.
According to the suspect's confession, the crystal was his. He received crystal methamphetamine from a woman whose address was unknown for Rp. 5.4 million and it was resold for Rp. 5.5 million per five grams.
"His confession was methamphetamine from someone whose identity he also did not know, he also took a profit per gram of Rp. 100,000. Therefore, we continue to carry out investigations and developments to find this other woman," said Nono.
The suspect is subject to Article 114 Jo 112 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. Meanwhile, the threat of imprisonment for 20 years and / or a fine of IDR 10 billion.
"We give the highest threat to give a deterrent effect to the suspect. I also make sure that we will not stop eradicating drugs in our jurisdiction," he concluded.
