The Aircraft Lost Contact, Sriwijaya Air Management Still Seeking Information
JAKARTA - Sriwijaya Air management is still looking for information regarding the loss of the SJ 182 plane on the Jakarta-Pontianak route.
"Sriwijaya Air is still in contact with various related parties in order to obtain more detailed information regarding the SJ-182 flight on the Jakarta-Pontianak route," as quoted from a written statement by Sriwijaya Air's management, Saturday, January 9.
Furthermore, the management will continue to investigate. "We will immediately issue an official statement after obtaining the true information," they said.
It was reported earlier that the Sriwijaya Air SJ 182 plane for the Jakarta-Pontianak route had reportedly lost contact, on Saturday, January 9. This news was later confirmed by the Director General of Air Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) Novie Riyanto.
"There has been a lost contact with the Sriwijaya aircraft on the Jakarta-Pontianak route with the SJ 182 call sign," Novie said when confirmed by reporters, Saturday, January 9.
He said the aircraft's last contact was made at 14:40 WIB.
