Jambi Education Office Student Assistance Corruption Case, Prosecutor's Office Immediately Examines Kadisdik Adhy Varial
Jambi High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) investigators are investigating a case of alleged corruption in student duties assistance for underprivileged students whose value reaches tens of billions in the 2022 fiscal year.
Head of Information and Law (Penkum) of the Jambi Attorney General's Office, Lexy Fatharani, said that in this case his party had scheduled an examination of the Head of the Jambi Province Education Office (Kadisdik) Adhy Varial.
"He (Adhy Varial) will be investigated, but wait for the schedule from investigators who will examine budget users, budget user power (KPA) to commitment maker officials," he said in Jambi, Wednesday, March 1, which was confiscated by Antara.
Recently, the Jambi Attorney General's Office conducted an examination of four witnesses. However, regarding the names and positions examined by the Jambi Attorney General's Office, they still do not want to reveal it.
"Today, there are indeed four people from the Jambi Education Office who we are asking for information, for names and positions we cannot give, but today we have examined three women and one male," said Lexy.
In this case, the education budget that is suspected of being corrupted comes from the Jambi Province Education Office (Disdik) program which is intended for 4,734 students. In detail, as many as 2,700 high school students, 1,600 vocational and 434 SLB students.
From the search for the Jambi Prosecutor's Office, it was found that the auction for equipment procurement for high school students by the Provincial Education Office was opened through the LPSE in April 2022. The budget is IDR 5.4 billion from the Jambi Provincial Budget.
It's just that the job tender with the name of the consolidation package for the procurement of equipment for high school students was canceled.
Meanwhile, from the Jambi Province LPSE website, it is known that there are 65 auction participants or enders, but only four companies have entered the offer.
A source revealed that the total funds for the equipment assistance for SMA, SMK and SLB students through Dumiake Disdik were not only IDR 5.4 billion, but IDR 14 billion and procurement through e-catalog because it was nearing the end of 2022.
