This Is The Most Unlucky Thief In The World: Again In Action, And He Calls The Police

JAKARTA - Bad luck can happen to anyone, even thieves. Two thieves have been arrested in England after accidentally calling the police while committing a crime. Police officers in Staffordshire, England, called the thieves "the most unlucky thieves in the world" and compared them to the unlucky criminals in the film Home Alone.

Citing CNN, Saturday, January 9, the police said that one of the thieves accidentally occupied his cellphone. When his cell phone was occupied, he accidentally dialed 999, the UK emergency number that allows officers to find out about ongoing crimes. When the call was connected, the authorities listened to their action and immediately arrested the criminal duo.

"I think we just caught the most unlucky thief in the world," said Chief Inspector John Owen via his Twitter account.

"During the robbery, one of the careless thieves accidentally sat on his cell phone and called 999," he wrote.

"We (received) calls detailing all their antics until we heard our patrols arrive to arrest them," he added. Owen also included a gif of the Home Alone character, Marv, who was hilariously shown to be incompatible with a life of crime.

A funny crime incident also happened in 2016. Two equally unfortunate robbers were about to rob McDonald's in France. But the McDonald's they were headed for contained 11 armed members of the elite paramilitary force who happened to be eating.

The two muggers fired rifles at the ceiling, yelling at the customers who were inside to get to the second floor. One of the robbers then stole about 2,000 euros from the cash register before the men fled.

Unfortunately for them, among the 40 customers who were enjoying their burgers at the time, there were 11 armed members of the elite paramilitary force who happened to be eating. They belong to an elite national police special operations unit that specializes in counter-terror and hostage situations.

Nine of them, dressed in plain clothes but carrying weapons, chased the robbers. One of the robbers was caught when he tripped on the stairs. But the other robbers, armed with guns, kept on running. At one point he took aim at the special forces officers.

Big mistake. One of the gunmen then shouted at him to stop and fired warning shots to prevent it, he said. When the robbers took aim again, they responded with a "neutralizing shot" into his stomach.

The suspects, both born in 1991 and well-known in the police force, were then taken to hospital and charged with armed robbery.
