BUMN Minister And Minister Of Health Collaborate With KPK To Complete Single Data

JAKARTA - State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Minister Erick Thohir and Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin visited the Red and White House of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Friday, January 8. Their arrival was to discuss with the KPK regarding the procurement of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Erick Thohir said that there were three things that were conveyed directly to the Chairman of the KPK, Alex Marwata and his ranks at the meeting. First, regarding the system in distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine throughout Indonesia.

"One of the ways is how (vaccines) from the file, from the box to the car, all have a QR code and can be monitored the journey in detail so that the assignment to the province goes well," explained Erick after the meeting.

The success in distribution, according to Erick, really depends on the participation of regional leaders to the Ministry of Health until the vaccines actually arrive in remote areas.

"Of course, the Minister of Health, who has worked hard for two weeks, also wants to ensure that after arriving at the province, his descendants to remote areas can be maintained properly because the cold chain or refrigeration storage must be consistent at 2-8 degrees Celsius," Erick explained.

Apart from distribution points, a database for vaccine recipients was also presented. Because so far the data system is still scattered and has not used single data, vaccination must be a momentum. This means, continued Erick, there needs to be an improvement in the data on vaccine recipients.

"The Minister of Health said that next year there should be vaccines again. That means whether you like it or not, data must be collected. We must have one data that is transparent so that when the government provides assistance to its people, it is correct," he explained.

KPK, continued Erick, welcomed the single data plan and was willing to assist in its implementation program. Furthermore, regarding the red and white vaccine which will be produced by Indonesia.

"We do not want to continue to depend on imported vaccines. Therefore, we wanted to hold the red and white vaccine from the start. But of course it still takes time. And this is why today together with the KPK and the Minister of Health we will continue to monitor the red and white vaccine regularly. together, "said Erick.
