Waiting For A Long 28 Years, Bogor City Successfully Wins The Adipura Cup
The long wait for Bogor City to get the Adipura Cup after 28 years has finally paid off. The Bogor City Government (Pemkot) managed to get the 2022 Adipura Award of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK). The Adipura Cup was handed over by the Minister of Environment and Forestry, Siti Nurbaya directly to the Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya at the Auditorium Dr. Soedjarwo, Manggala Wanabakti Building, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Central Jakarta, Tuesday 28 February. The Adipura Cup is the highest award in the field of environmental life, cleanliness and waste management and the last time Bogor City got it in 1995. Minister of Environment and Culture, Siti Nurbaya said, at the award of the 2022 Adipura Cup, his party continues to try to perfect the Adipura Cup by encouraging districts/cities to achieve 100 percent waste management targets in 2025.Regencies/cities also need to continue to improve and adapt to the development of waste management methods so that they can find the best solution in dealing with waste problems. "At this Adipura's assessment, we also included and supported the achievement of the national target of 20 thousand climate villages in 2024," he said. He said, it is not easy to enter and get Adipura. Moreover, there are various categories of Adipura awards, starting from the Adipura Award, the Adipura Cup and the highest award, namely Adipura which are divided into groups of small cities, moderate cities and big cities. "Adipura, the value is very fundamental, there is a system relocation agenda at this event as well as Adipura as a regional development corridor," he said.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya, expressed his gratitude to the residents of Bogor City who have both made efforts to make Bogor City cleaner so that after decades the Adipura Cup can be obtained again. "This is the highest award in the field of environmental life, cleanliness and waste management which has finally returned to Bogor City," he said.
