Members Of The House Of Representatives Provide Assistance Of IDR 262 Million For Disabilities Groups In Poso
JAKARTA - Member of Commission VIII DPR RI Matindas J Rumambi provided attention assistance in the form of agricultural equipment, business assistance, basic necessities and housing rehabilitation worth Rp264,462,800 for disability groups, vulnerable groups and the elderly for the people of Rompo Village and Torire Village, Lore, Poso.
During the visit, Matindas found a number of 20 families of people with disabilities calling themselves a group of special patients (Bettawa) who for 14 years lived independently.
"Our presence today is proof of the state's presence for groups of people with special needs," said the PDI-Perjuangan faction politician in his statement, Tuesday, February 28.
It is known, over the past five years, the Pastiwa group was fostered by the WVI Foundation and Syngenta in agriculture. So that the group changed its name to Special Farmer NK.
From this development, Special Farmer NK has managed 5 hectares of corn plantations which produce 5 tons of corn every one hectare.
"We are grateful to WVI and Syngenta for their active role in carrying out social activities. We also appreciate the Ministry of Social Affairs as our partner in Commission VIII, which was represented by the Nipotove Palu Social Center, so that people with special needs can fulfill their rights, not only in agriculture but also providing capital to assistance," he added.
Finally, the Legislator for the Central Sulawesi electoral district expressed his commitment to continue to go down to the community. "We are committed to continuing to go down to the community and ensure that all levels of society get their rights," concluded Matindas.
