The Indonesian National Team Faces New Problems Ahead Of The 2023 U-20 Asian Cup
JAKARTA - The U-20 Indonesian national team has made preparations ahead of the 2023 U-20 Asian Cup in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Arriving there on Saturday, February 25, the Garuda Nusantara squad was faced with new problems.
The cold temperature that can reach 2 degrees Celsius in Uzbekistan is a challenge that must be immediately conquered by Muhammad Ferrari and his friends. The players are expected to quickly adapt to the weather they have never felt before.
"Overall the team is in good condition, but adapting to the weather is rather difficult, so it may take time," Shin said on PSSI's official website, Monday, February 27.
Shin Tae-yong does not deny that the climate difference in Uzbekistan with Indonesia makes it difficult for its players. As is known, Indonesia is a country with a tropical climate that only experiences summer and rain.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan is currently entering its peak winter.
"A weather like this has never been experienced by the players, so of course it is not easy for us," he said.
At the 2023 AFC U-20 Cup, Indonesia was in group A with Iraq, Syria, and host Uzbekistan. In the inaugural match, Indonesia will face Iraq on March 1, 2023 at the Lokomotiv Stadium, Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
