Mario Dandy's Case Is Like Opening Pandora's Box, A Number Of Facts Then Revealed
YOGYAKARTA The case of abuse by Mario Dandy against Cristalino David Ozora has a long tail and has spread to various things.
This cannot be separated from the background of Mario's father who is the Head of the General Section of the South Jakarta II Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP). Meanwhile, the victim, who is currently still in a coma, is the son of one of the center administrators of the Ansor Youth Movement (GP).
So, what domino effects will be caused by the Mario case?
Mario Dandy's case is like a domino effect, widespread everywhere. One after another, problems were revealed, among others:
In the aftermath of Mario's abuse case, the assets of his father, Rafael Alun Trisambodo, were highlighted by the public. This highlight is encouraging because Mario often shows off his wealth.
Based on the search, Rafael reported his assets several times to the KPK. Finally, Rafael submitted a state administrator's wealth report (LHKPN) to the KPK on February 17, 2022 for a periodic report in 2021.
In the LHKPN, Rafael claimed to own 11 plots of land with varying areas spread across a number of cities, such as Sleman, Manado, West Jakarta, and South Jakarta. In total, the value of dozens of Rafael's land is estimated at IDR 51.9 billion. Apart from land, Rafael also claimed to own two cars. However, in the LHKPN, Rafael did not include the Rubicon car carried by his son.
In the LHKPN, Rafael claimed to have a Toyota Camry sedan worth Rp 125 million and a Toyota Kijang worth Rp 300 million.
Rafael also claimed to have other movable assets worth IDR 420 million, cash and cash equivalents worth IDR 1.3 billion, and other assets worth IDR 419 million. Rafael admitted that he had no debt. Thus, his assets reached IDR 56,104,350,289. This figure is even greater than the wealth of the Director General of Taxes Suryo Utomo.
Mario's arbitrary actions made his father, Rafael Alun Tri Sambodo (RAT) also suffer from the sap.
After the persecution went viral, Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati removed RAT from the position of Head of the General Section of the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the South Jakarta Regional Office II.
"Starting today, I ask to be removed from my duties and positions. I ask that the entire inspection process be carried out in detail and thorough so that we can then determine the level of disciplinary punishment we can determine," Sri Mulyani said at a press conference, Friday, February 24.
After being removed from Sri Mulyani, RAT decided to withdraw from the Ministry of Finance and the resign letter was still in process.
In addition to removing the RAT, Sri Mulyani also ordered her staff to investigate Mario's father's assets.
"I have instructed the Inspectorate General to examine assets, in this case the reasonable property of the RAT brothers," Sri Mulyani said on Friday, February 24, 2023.
Director General of Taxes Suryo Utomo was also affected by Mario Dandy's case. After RAT's wealth was highlighted, the public was busy criticizing Suryo Utomo's wealth which had increased rapidly in a short time.
Based on LHKPN data from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Suryo's assets in 2017 reached Rp6.13 billion. Then in 2021, his assets were recorded at Rp14.4 billion. This means that Suryo's assets jumped by around Rp8.3 billion for four years.
From the case of Mario Dandy's persecution, it was also revealed that the photo of the Director General of Taxes Suryo Utomo riding a big motorbike with the Blasting Rijder club of the Directorate General of Taxes was also revealed.
Related to this, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani asked the club moge BlastingRijder DJP to be disbanded because it created a negative perception of the community and raised suspicions about the source of the wealth of DGT employees.
"I conveyed instructions to the Director General of Taxes so that the BlastingRijder DJP club be dissolved," Sri Mulyani said on her Instagram account on Sunday, February 26, 2023.
According to Sri Mulyani, an employee of the Ministry of Finance who rode a motorbike had violated the principle of propriety even though the vehicle was purchased from his own salary.
The case of Mario Dandy, who also exposed the character of a tax employee, made Sri Mulyani angry. He also instructed the Inspectorate General to investigate the sources of staff/official assets that were suspected to be unreasonable and take firm correction steps.
"All 78,640 employees of the Ministry of Finance are required to report LHKPN assets and assets to officials submitted to the KPK, as well as LHK for employees submitted to the Inspectorate General," said the Minister of Finance.
Mario Dandy Satrio is not only a suspect and is languishing in iron bars. The son of the official Directorate General of Taxes was also officially expelled from Prasetiya Mulya University.
Prasetiya Mulya University firmly said that Mario Dandy Satrio's barbaric action against Cristalino David Ozora did not match the campus' breath.
"We strongly condemn the violence because it contradicts humanity and violates the code of ethics of the regulatory funds listed in the guidelines for students at Prasetiya Mulya University," wrote the campus in an official announcement signed by Rector Djisman Simandjuntak.
"The meeting of the leadership of Prasetiya University, Mulya, has decided to issue the suspect Mario Dandy from Prasetiya Mulya University since February 23," they continued.
