6 AGO Fire Suspects In The Near Future Are Ready To Be Tried

JAKARTA - The Directorate of General Crimes, Bareskrim Polri delegated six suspects and goods from the fire case in the building of the Attorney General's Office (AGO).

The suspects were construction workers and foremen. "Yes, that's right, it was already in stage 2 on Tuesday, January 5," said the Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Andi Rian, to VOI, Friday, January 8.

The six suspects transferred include, S, H, T, K, IS and UAM. Based on the results of the investigation by the investigating prosecutors, their investigation files are complete.

Meanwhile, the other three suspects have not been transferred. They include MD, a borrower from the PT APM company flag, JM as the 2019 Aluminum Composite Panel (ACP) Procurement Consultant and concurrent director of the factory that provides ACP brand Seven, and IS, the AGO 2019 Commitment Making Officer (PPK).

The handling of the cases of the three men is still in the filing stage. Investigators, Andi continued, were still collecting additional data for file completion.

"Still filing," he said.

The cause of the fire at the Attorney General's Office Main Building was because five construction workers had neglected to smoke in the Personnel Bureau Hall, 6th floor of the Main Office of the Attorney General's Office.

At that time, they were repairing the room while smoking. In fact, there are materials that are flammable such as glue, thinner, paper, carpets and others.

Then the fire quickly spread, triggered by the remaining Top Cleaner cleaning fluid on each floor.

The cleaning fluid turned out to contain diesel. In addition, there is also an ACP material that is not fire resistant, which causes a bigger fire.
