The National Coordination Meeting Of PAN, Ganjar: IKN Is Not Only The Transfer Of The Capital City But The ANSWER To Indonesia's Future

The Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, emphasized that the project to move the State Capital (IKN) was not just moving the center of government. More than that, IKN is the idea of an Indonesian design in the future or future nation.

This was conveyed by Ganjar when giving a speech at the National Mandate Party Coordination Meeting (PAN) at the Padma Hotel Semarang, Sunday (26/2/2023). During the event, President Joko Widodo, ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet and other important figures were also present.

"The transfer of the nation's capital is not only to realize the dream of our founding fathers, but also the idea of Indonesia's future design, about future nation. Namely a country that combines natural wealth and beauty with technology without neglecting the local wisdom that we have," said Ganjar.

In addition to 70 percent of the area in the form of green areas, IKN will have 80 percent of its energy needs sourced from renewable energy. Smart Living, Smart City was created and all community services through technology.

"Want to make a birth certificate, marriage certificate using a cellphone, paperless. The car there must be an electric car. Then 80 percent of the transportation is an unmanned autonomous vehicle and driver," he explained.

From these ideas and concepts, he continued, the opportunity to realize independence in various sectors is increasingly wide open. Because, with the birth of IKN, a new order, new needs, new jobs and new mindsets will be born.

"In order to get there, we must prepare human resources as well as possible. We must optimize schools, Islamic boarding schools, universities, course places, laboratories, intellectuals. This is a long agenda that we must work on with mutual cooperation," he concluded.

Meanwhile, President Joko Widodo said Indonesia would become a great nation. Natural resources in this country are abundant and are still not managed optimally.

"That's why I always emphasize, stop exporting raw goods. Turn into exports of finished or semi-finished goods. Even though the risk is that we are hostile to many other countries," he said.

Jokowi gave an example when Indonesia stopped Nickel's exports in 2020. The decision was sued by the European Union and Indonesia to lose.

"We must not give up and return to export raw materials, until whenever this country will not become a developed country. We must continue to fight back. We will appeal the decision," he stressed.

The decision to stop exports of raw materials will continue. June this year, Jokowi said he would stop the export of Bauxite. Also gradually, it will stop exports of lead raw materials, copper, gold and others.

"We will definitely be hostile to many countries that depend on raw materials from us. Whatever the risk, the next Indonesian leader must be brave and continue to downstream this," he concluded.
