Oftenlihat Parents Careless Makes Wendy Walters Trauma Since Childhood
JAKARTA - Reza Arap's ex-wife, Wendy Walters, admitted that she had a bad childhood. This woman, known as a celebrity, admitted that as a child she witnessed how her parents fought.
"At that time, I was 3 years old, holding a barbie doll watching my mom and papa fight. I didn't know what to do. Until finally my mom and I left the house with me and 2 of my friends," he said when contacted Saturday, February 25.
Since then, even though she is still a child, Wendi admits that she can't play anymore, like a child at her age. "Because at that time, my mother was completely destroyed mentally. Until she wanted to commit suicide, it had even been done, but I was grateful that she could still be saved. From there, I and 2 of my siblings took turns taking care of her, for fear she did things that were even worse," he said.
For this reason, Wendy had hoped that later she would have a family, have a harmonious family. "It turns out that I can't, because now I'm separated. This incident traumatized me, because I went to the trigger for my mother's incident. Yes, my mentality was destroyed too, because what happened to my mother, the incident was also with me. Honestly, the pain can't be described as much as the words. Yes, I cry every day," he explained.
When the problem that happened to him rained, Wendy was grateful that she didn't stop her life. "I thought, maybe if I kill myself, my life is calm. But it will hurt the people around me. Especially Mami. Because I don't want to end my life because of this problem. Because I'm also young, there's still a lot that I can catch up with," he said.
Wendy is also grateful to be surrounded by the people who love her, so she can get out of the trouble that happened to her. "The point is, if I used to listen to vicious whispers to end my life, maybe now I won't know if I can do this, it can be this strong, and can sit here, talking to you, who may have the same problem," he said.
The confession above, he conveyed in the video that lasted more than 5 minutes, in order to support the film Kembang Api which tells about 4 people affected by mental health. This film itself will be shown in cinemas starting March 2, 2023
Wendi also advised anyone who is not doing well, not to give up easily. "My message is not to give up, don't lose to your current situation. You won't know, in the future there will be extraordinary things in your life. Do what can be emotional, the important thing is not to hurt yourself, don't hurt others. The point is that you want any problems in your life, whether you want big or small. Consider it a lesson in your life, because I really believe, after it's dark it will be bright," he concluded.
