President Jokowi Arrived In Central Java To Formalize The Semarang-Demak Toll Road
JAKARTA - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) arrived in Semarang, Central Java, Saturday, February 25 morning, to inaugurate the Semarang-Demak Toll Road for the Sayung-Demak section.
Reporting from Antara, President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo arrived at the Ahmad Yani Army Main Air Base, Semarang, Central Java, in an atmosphere of heavy rain accompanied by strong winds.
The President's arrival in Semarang was welcomed by the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo and his wife, Pangdam IV/Diponegoro Maj. Gen. Widi Prasetijono and his wife, Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi, and Danlanumad Ahmad Yani Lt. Col. CPN Ihwan Okti Riyadi.
Previously, President Jokowi and his entourage took off to Central Java Province via Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base using the Indonesian Presidential Aircraft-1 at 07.55 WIB.
The Semarang-Demak toll road has a total length of 26.40 kilometers which is built in two sections through a government cooperation scheme with business entities (PPP).
For Section 1 of the Semarang/Kaligawe-Sayung segment, 10.39 km is the government's portion with a budget allocation of IDR 10 trillion sourced from the state budget.
Meanwhile, Section 2 of the Sayung-Demak section of 16.01 km is a portion of the toll road business entity (BUJT) carried out by PT PP-PT WIKA Consortium and the planning consultant PT Maratama-Study Teknik (KSO) with the supervision consultant PT Virama Karya (Persero) with an investment value of IDR 5.93 trillion.
Also accompanying the President to Central Java were Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Presidential Military Secretary Admiral TNI Hersan, Commander of Paspampres Marsda TNI Wahju Hidajat Soedjatmiko, and Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Bey Machmudin.
