Ease Access To Lake Toba, 24 Handling Of Village Roads And Bridges Throughout 2020-2022
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has completed 24 construction work on roads and bridges in the tourism area of Lake Toba, North Sumatra (North Sumatra).
This connectivity infrastructure support is expected to facilitate access for tourists to Lake Toba which is developed as a Priority National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN)/Super Priority Tourism Destination (DPSP).
PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said infrastructure development in each DPSP is planned in an integrated manner, both area, road and bridge arrangement, raw water and clean water supply, waste management, sanitation, and housing improvement through a master plan for infrastructure development.
With smoother connectivity, it is hoped that it will increase regional economic growth, so that it can help accelerate development in the region.
"The principle is to change the face of the area to be carried out quickly, integrated, and have an impact on the local and national economy," Basuki said in his official statement, Friday, February 24.
The handling of the Lake Toba DPSP connectivity is carried out by the Ministry of PUPR through the North Sumatra National Road Implementation Center (BBPJN), the Directorate General of Highways for 2020-2022, including preservation, rehabilitation, construction of new roads, sidewalk arrangement and drainage, replacement of bridges, and beautification.
For your information, Dairi Regency has completed the preservation of roads and bridges for the Aceh-Batas City Boundary Section of Sidikalang - Panji City - Samosir Regency and Sidikalang City Road for 85.17 km and the preservation of roads and bridges for the Dairi Regency - Dolok Sanggul border section.
North Tapanuli Regency was completed by the construction of the Siborong Ring Road - Porong, road preservation and the Dolok Sanggul - Siborong-borong (28.45 km) section bridge, and the construction of the road to Huta Ginjang (3.2 km).
Humbang Hasundutan Regency has been completed by the construction of Jalan Gonting Bulu - Simangaronsang (3.4 km) and the construction of Jalan Sipinsur (8 km).
Then, Samosir Regency includes structuring sidewalks and drainage as well as rehabilitation of Jalan Simpang Tuktuk - Sialagan (8.4 km), widening of access roads for Simanindo Port (0.5 km), arranging sidewalks for access roads for Tomok Port (1.2 km), replacing Aek Sioto Bridge and Aek Hapilis Pangaloan (12 meters).
Next, the replacement of the Aek Tano Ponggol Bridge (294 meters), the preservation of the Pangururan - Ambarita - Tomok - Onan Rungung Nainggolan Bridge (127.11 km), the widening of the Samosir Bridge (198 meters), the preservation of Pangaruruan Street Nainggolan (17 km), and the handling of access roads for human tourism (2.5 km).
