IDR 4.05 Trillion Profit Print, Chairul Tanjung Tebar's Mega Bank Dividend IDR 2.8 Trillion

PT Bank Mega Tbk (MEGA) closed its performance at the end of 2022 by posting a net profit of IDR 4.05 trillion, an increase of 1.11 percent from the same period the previous year of IDR 4.01 trillion.

President Director of Bank Mega, Kostaman Thayib said, based on the results of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS), the company decided to distribute dividends of IDR 2.83 trillion to shareholders as cash dividends and stipulated that IDR 77.66 billion would be set aside as reserve funds to meet the provisions of article 70 of the UUPT.

"While the remaining Rp1.2 trillion will be recorded as retained earnings," said Kostaman in a presentation on the company's performance in Jakarta, Friday, February 24.

Kostaman further said that Bank Mega's net profit was contributed by an increase in Net Interest Income by 21.24 percent to Rp5.87 trillion from the same position in the previous period of Rp4.84 trillion.

In 2022, Bank Mega's total assets will increase to IDR 141.75 trillion or grow by 6.68 percent from the previous year's IDR 132.88 trillion.

In lending, Bank Mega recorded a growth of 15.84 percent to Rp70.29 trillion from the same position in the previous period of Rp60.68 trillion.

"On the third party fund collection (DPK) side, at the end of 2022 it grew by 4.09 percent to Rp102.95 trillion, from the same position in the previous period of Rp98.91 trillion," Kostaman continued.

He added that Bank Mega's return on assets (ROA) was recorded at 4 percent, a return on equity (ROE) was recorded at 23.15 percent and a loan to deposit ratio (LDR) of 68.04 percent.

Meanwhile, non-performing loans (NPL) gross 1.23 percent, Capital adequacy ratio (CAR) 25.41 percent, net interest margin (NIM) 5.42 percent, and operating income operating expenses (BOPO) 56.76 percent.

"As we all know, the economic situation in 2022 is still colored by a challenging situation, and we managed to get through it by recording a good performance. I am optimistic that in 2023, Bank Mega's performance will continue to increase with the support of all stakeholders," concluded Kostaman.
