Chester Bennington's First Band Announce New Album And Single Release

JAKARTA - Gray Daze, Chester Bennington's first band before joining Linkin Park, announced a new album and released a new track titled Sickness. The song features Bennington's original vocals.

The Phoenix-based band also shared details about Amends, the third most-awaited fan album. The album featured freshly recorded music with vocals remastered from the original.

Premiere on February 6 by Annie Mac on the Hottest Records program, Sickness followed up last month's release, What's in the Eye's first single. This song is also accompanied by a video.

Talking about the video concept for the song, Gray Daze founder and drummer Sean Dowdell said: “It's based on a true story since Chester was 15 years old. He was bullied at school and one day suffered a beating. It was the day I played the role of protector and the figure of Chester's older brother, even after his death. "

Bennington's widow, Talinda, revealed that in December, Gray Daze had planned a revival with Bennington. However, in the midst of recording new material, the vocalist passed away in 2017

According to his official press release, "Amends is the beginning story of one of the most famous rock vocalists in the modern world and also a moment among a group of friends."

Released on April 10, 2020, the album will be available in a variety of collectible formats with several iterations available exclusively through the band's website. You can pre-order albums here.

Last month, Gray Daze released a mini documentary about their early days, and a new album which will feature Bennington's vocals.
