Sandiaga Uno Supports PMKK Java Bali To Reduce The Spread Of COVID-19
JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Economy Krearif / Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno supports the enactment of policies for implementing restrictions on community activities (PPKM) in Java-Bali on January 11-25, 2021 to suppress the spread of COVID-19.
During his working visit to Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara, Friday, January 8, Sandiaga said that his party had coordinated with the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and other ministries related to the implementation of PPKM.
"The point is that the tourism sector and the creative economy support their totality so that the policies carried out from 11 to 25 January are able to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19," Sandiaga said as quoted by Antara, Friday, January 8.
Sandiaga said that his party would provide concrete steps from the tourism sector and the creative economy to support the implementation of the policy.
Among other things, by preparing hotel rooms to be used as independent isolation places for patients suffering from COVID-19 in various areas in Java and Bali.
"I will coordinate with the Head of the National Disaster Management Agency to ensure the support of the tourism sector and the creative economy in these difficult times. For example, the use of hotel rooms in areas that require independent isolation, quarantine to help with the health management side," Sandiaga said. .
In addition, Sandiaga also asked the public to always obey and be disciplined in implementing 3M's health protocol (wearing masks, washing hands regularly, and maintaining distance).
"I always give the message that we must carry out the 3M health protocol with a strong commitment, because it is impossible for us to revive the tourism side if we are not disciplined in implementing this," he said.
Previously, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto announced the implementation of PPMK in Java and Bali on 11-25 January 2021 with daily evaluation and monitoring.
This policy was carried out by considering various things including the development of the COVID-19 pandemic that has occurred in the world recently, in which several countries have tightened people's mobility, and with the existence of a new variant of COVID-19 which is more quickly transmitted, the government needs to do so. measures to control the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia.
Regulatory enforcement of these restrictions include limiting office workplaces by implementing work from home (WFH) by 75 percent, by imposing more stringent health protocols; carry out teaching and learning activities online / online; and for essential sectors related to the basic needs of the community, they can still operate 100 percent by regulating operating hours and capacities, as well as implementing more stringent health protocols.
Furthermore, regulating the imposition of restrictions, namely restaurant activities (eating / drinking on the spot) by 25 percent and for food services via delivery / take-away is still permitted in accordance with restaurant operating hours, and restrictions on operating hours for shopping centers / malls until 19.00 WIB .
Then allow construction activities to operate 100 percent by implementing more stringent health protocols and activities in places of worship can still be carried out, with capacity restrictions
by 50 percent and with more stringent implementation of health protocols.
The last two provisions, namely activities in public facilities and socio-cultural activities are temporarily suspended and capacity and operational hours for public transportation are also regulated.
