The North Sumatra Regional Police Examine Witnesses From The Jakarta Ministry Of Religion Regarding Corruption Cases In UINSU
JAKARTA - Investigators at the Directorate of Criminal and Criminal Investigation of the North Sumatra Regional Police examined several witnesses at the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) in Jakarta regarding alleged corruption in the construction of an integrated lecture building at the State Islamic University (UIN) of North Sumatra worth IDR 10 billion for the 2018 Academic Year.
Kasubbid Penmas Polda North Sumatra AKBP MP Nainggolan said there were a number of witnesses who were questioned for their statements in Jakarta, without mentioning the witness's identity.
He said that North Sumatra Police investigators examined the witnesses who were in Jakarta, to speed up the process of investigating corruption at the State Islamic University (UIN) of North Sumatra.
"The investigating team of the North Sumatra Regional Police yesterday went to Jakarta to examine the witness," he said as quoted by Antara, Friday, January 8.
Nainggolan added, the North Sumatra Regional Police are still developing corruption cases that harm the country's finances, and nothing is stopped.
Previously, North Sumatra Polda Ditreskrimsus investigators had named three suspects in a suspected corruption case for the construction of an integrated lecture building at the State Islamic University (UIN) of North Sumatra for the 2018 academic year.
The three suspects, namely S as the Chancellor of UIN North Sumatra, SS Commitment Making Officer (PPK) of UIN North Sumatra, and JS Director of PT Multi Bisnis Perkasa.
The determination of the three suspects was based on the results of the investigation carried out by the investigators of the North Sumatra Regional Police of the Criminal Investigation Unit and a number of evidence collected. Then the results of the audit of the Calculation of State Losses were carried out by the North Sumatra Representative BPKP Number: R-64.PW02 / 5.1 / 2020 dated August 14, 2020, valued at more than Rp. 10 billion .
