Prosecutor Investigators Pocketed 2 Candidate Suspects in the Corruption Case at TWA Gunung Tunak Road

MATARAM - The Central Lombok District Attorney's Special Crime Investigator, West Nusa Tenggara, has pocketed at least two potential suspects in the alleged corruption case of the asphalt road project leading to the Gunung Tunak Natural Tourism Park (TWA).

"So, in this case, we have an overview (of the suspect), at least two candidates", said the Head of the Central Lombok Special Crimes Section of the Prosecutor's Office Bratha Hariputra in Mataram, Antara, Thursday, February 23.

For the determination, he is waiting for the results of the examination by a team of experts on state loss audits by public accountants domiciled in Bali.

"The figures have already been informed, they just have to be made up again in the form of a BAP (investigation report). So, the results (audit of state losses) will be based on the BAP", he said.

However, from the results of the investigator's independent count, Bratha revealed that the potential loss to the state, in this case, was at least IDR 600 million. Work on the asphalt road project which collapsed at several road points along 1 kilometre came from procurement at the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office (PUPR) of NTB.

Based on data from the official website of the Electronic Procurement Service (LPSE), this road project will take place in 2017.

The partner who emerged as the executor of the project was PT Indomine Utama, which is located at Selagalas, Mataram City, with a construction budget of IDR 3.49 billion.

In handling the case, the Central Lombok Prosecutor's Office is collaborating with a construction expert from East Nusa Tenggara to inspect the condition of the asphalt.

Based on the results of expert analysis, it was found that there was a shortage of work volume from the asphalt project. The results of this analysis later became the basis for the audit team of public accountants to calculate state losses.
