Terungkap! Mark Lanegan Participating In Writing Something In The Way Nirvana, Tapi Namanya Tidak Terkenal
JAKARTA - A new book reveals that Mark Lanegan participated in writing the closing song of Nirvana's album Nevermind. The song in question is Something in the Way.
Quoted from Lanegan's new book featuring former Queen's Of The Stone Age bandmate Nick Oliveri claims that the late frontman bult Trees helped write the lyrics for the song with Kurt Cobain. However, Lanegan's name was not written.
"Mark said he wrote some lyrics in Something in the Way with Kurt in Nevermind," Oliveri told writer Greg Prato via Consequence.
But Kurt has played some of Mark's solo songs, The Winding Sheet.
So instead of getting paid, they just do this where, 'Hey, I added the lyrics to your song and you added the lyrics to my song. Let's just say break up. Whatever happens, it happens.'
"A little bit what Mark knows, if he registered Something in the Way in Nevermind publishing, he would have a lot of money. I remember he blamed himself a little bit about it - 'If I registered with the publishing of something in the Way...'
Di bagian lain buku ini, rekan sebandar Lanegan di handiw Trees, Gary Lee Conner, mengingat bagaimana Courtney Love pernah menawarkan kepada mereka lagu Nirvana yang belum perluarkan, You Know You're Right, setelah kematian Cobain.
The song was finally released as a single from Nirvana's 2002 self-titled compilation.
