Antisi Definitely Work Children, Residents Asked To Report To The Cianjur Disnakertras
CIANJUR - Manpower and Transmigration Office (Disnakertrans) Cianjur Regency, West Java, asked residents to report if they get a company that employs minors for violating child protection regulations.
Head of the Cianjur Regency Manpower and Transmigration Office, Endan Hamdani, said that although until now his party had not found or received reports of companies employing minors, this should be the concern of all parties.
"Although there have been no reports yet, it is possible that there are companies that are naughty in hiring minors in Cianjur, to anticipate that we always supervise a number of existing companies," he said, Wednesday, February 22.
His party will impose strict sanctions on companies that employ minors, by making reports to the West Java Provincial Manpower Office to immediately carry out surveillance.
Based on data from the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), for the last two years Cianjur has experienced a decline in underage workers and experienced an increase in the age population.
"In 2019 the open unemployment rate reached 9.9 percent, while in 2020 it increased to 11.5 percent, and in 2022 it decreased again to 8.9 percent," he said.
His party noted that the number of underage workers in Cianjur was minimal and almost non-existent, even now Cianjur is experiencing an increase in the population of workers of sufficient age based on BPS data related to TPT.
