YouTube Music Presents A Feature Of Create Radio Stations Special For Users
JAKARTA - YouTube Music officially launched the Radio Create a radio feature on Android and iOS. By using this feature, users can create a special station based on songs from their favorite artists.
Special radio stations can be created by users from the start by combining main compiler blocks such as favorite artists, music genres, or musical styles.
After scrolling down on the YouTube Music homepage, users will find the Create radio feature. Here, they will see a list of artists, and can select up to 30 artists to add variations to their radio stations.
Then, there will be options to choose from such as the variety of Artists, Song selection (Familiar, Blend, or Discover) which will help them play radios, only artists they have selected or a wider set of artists.
There is also a Filter option for Popular, Deep Cuts, New Releases, Pump-Up, Chill, Upbeat, Downbeat, and Focus songs.
"With this new radio functionality, we are reversing that model, empowering users to make their own radios from the bottom up, by combining major music building blocks such as artists and general music descriptors," said YouTube as quoted by TechCrunch, Wednesday, February 22.
The result is to give users more control over their music listening experience, and enable them to cut their music in many ways that are currently unavailable to them, on YouTube Music or any music service."
According to The Verge report, YouTube started testing this feature last year. Although YouTube Music already has a lot of stations and mixes driven by algorithms, having something control users can seem to be a good choice.
This feature is useful when they want to listen to something specific but don't want to manually prepare playlists. Users can use the feature on YouTube Music, either paid subscribers or free users.
