COVID-19 Task Force: There Are 3 Groups That Were First Vaccinated, Including Central And Regional Officials

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the Task Force (Task Force) Handling COVID-19 Wiku Adisasmito said there are three groups that will receive the first COVID-19 vaccination. Of the three groups, one of them is a group of public officials in the central and regional governments.

"So there will be three major groups that will receive the initial vaccine injection, namely group one is the central and regional public officials," Wiku said in a press conference broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat YouTube account, Thursday, January 6.

The next group consists of administrators of health worker associations and key leaders of regional health institutions. Finally, groups of religious leaders in the regions.

Meanwhile, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will be the first to receive the COVID-19 vaccination.

Regarding the division of this group, Wiku said this was a reflection of the government's commitment to providing safe and quality vaccines for all Indonesian people.

"(This vaccination, red) is also a moment to invite people to not hesitate to be vaccinated," he said.

Furthermore, after the initial vaccination process has been completed, the government will continue its comprehensive implementation to the community in stages according to the predetermined priority stages.
