Spotify Announces Most Listened Song Of Korean Musician

JAKARTA - Still in the atmosphere of the new year 2021, music streaming service Spotify announced several names that dominate the Spotify platform throughout 2020.

Launching Ten Asia today, Thursday, January 7, BTS is the K-pop group with the most listened to songs on Spotify. They released the album BE where the album successfully sold more than millions of copies.

After BTS, there are TWICE, Stray Kids, and Red Velvet who have the most listeners. It is known that the four names released comeback songs in 2020.

For the soloist lineup, IU leads the list. Even though he only released three songs, the popularity of the singer, whose real name is Lee Jieun, is undeniable.

Agust D, Suga BTS's stage name for his solo career also followed IU. Suga also performed a duet for IU's song eight which still occupies the South Korean music charts.

In the R&B genre, there are Zico and Baekhyun with their two hits. Zico, who was viral thanks to the song Any Song, managed to reach a fairly high number of listeners. Likewise with Baekhyun and his song, Candy from his latest album.

BTS members also won solo achievements, V for their song Sweet Night for the Korean drama Itaewon Class as the most listened to the soundtrack song.

Not only groups and singers who are already working, Spotify has also named some of the new names that are receiving the most attention through RADAR Korea.

RADAR Korea is a playlist created by Spotify to introduce new artists from the Land of Ginseng. Among these playlists, the group TREASURE, singer AleXa, BIBI, the group SECRET NUMBER and ACE became the five most listened to musicians.
