The collection of money to compensate for the state losses comes from two suspects," said Head of the Legal Information and Public Relations Section of the East Nusa Tenggara Provincial High Prosecutor's Office, Abdul Hakim, in Kupang, Antara, Tuesday, February 21.The Sikka Regency Government in 2021 will allocate a budget of IDR 1.9 billion for activities to procure basic food needs in handling COVID-19 emergency response for patients, supporting officers and security at quarantine places.Furthermore, for the procurement of drinking and logistics or equipment in handling certain emergency responses for the COVID-19 outbreak in quarantine places, and the procurement of basic necessities for people who are victims of natural disasters at the Sikka Regency BPBD.According to him, according to the results of the examination, it was found that state losses in the management of funds for handling COVID-19 in the Sikka Regency BPBD reached Rp. 724,678,878 which allegedly involved four suspects who had been detained by investigators from the Sikka District Attorney's Office.Abdul Hakim said the state compensation fund that had been deposited with the Sikka District Attorney's Office came from the suspect LG as Director of CV Dewi Sartika, which was handed over by his wife Johan Huiyanto with the amount of replacement money deposited at Rp551,021,128.In addition, according to Abdul Hakim, the state compensation fund was also handed over by Yoseph Suru, the husband of the MRL suspect as the Assistant Expenditure Treasurer of the Regional Financial Management Officer (PPKD) to the Sikka Regency BPBD, worth Rp. 24,580,750."The state compensation fund in the corruption case in the management of COVID-19 handling funds in Sikka Regency in 2021, which was entrusted by the two suspects to the Sikka District Attorney reached Rp. 575,601,878," said Abdul Hakim.
