Sleman Regency Government Decratizes The Illegal Cigarette Attack Movement, Vice Regent: Illegal Excise Eradication
JAKARTA - Deputy Regent (Wabup) Sleman Danang Maharsa emphasized that the Sleman Regency Government (Pemkab) is committed to eradicating the circulation of illegal cigarettes in the market.
"Eradication of the circulation of illegal cigarettes is a form of government alignment with workers in the cigarette and tobacco industry, especially those in Sleman Regency," said Danang in Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), Tuesday, February 21, as reported by Antara.
For this reason, the Sleman Regency Government together with the Federation of Tobacco Cigarette Workers, Food and Beverage Unions of All Indonesian Workers (FSP RTMM SPSI) declared an illegal cigarette attack on Monday, February 20 evening.
Danang said that the declaration of illegal cigarette attacks was the government's commitment to eradicating the circulation of illegal cigarettes.
"Caccombidity cuts are one of the biggest contributors to state revenue revenues. The use of tobacco excise revenues is stated in the DBHCT which is distributed to tobacco excise-producing areas," he said.
According to him, the profit-sharing fund was then allocated for three aspects, namely welfare, health and socialization of law enforcement.
"Based on this, the illegal cigarette attack movement is an enforcement step in eradicating illegal excise and providing a sense of justice for official tobacco cigarette workers," he said.
Head of the Yogyakarta Customs Office, Eko Darmanto, said that the circulation of illegal cigarettes poses a threat to employment, especially in the official cigarette industry.
"In addition, the circulation of these illegal cigarettes can have an impact on state revenues that will be returned to the public," he said.
