Microsoft Will Launch A New Secondary Version Of Teams Next Month

JAKARTA - Microsoft plans to roll out significant updates from top to bottom for Microsoft Teams, in order to increase the use of its system resources on PCs and laptops as well.

According to a source who told The Verge, the tech company has for years developed a new version of Teams that will be called Teams 2.0 or 2.1 internally.

Microsoft even claimed to have conducted a wide trial of this new Teams client within the company, and aims to release it globally to Teams users in March.

Teams 2.0 is claimed to use 50 percent less memory, burden less CPUs, and produce better battery life on laptops.

Microsoft currently plans to submit a preview of its new app to Teams users at the end of March, which includes a switch to switch back to existing apps if needed.

On the other hand, Microsoft is also considering ways to generate money from a newly revitalized Bing search engine with a generating artificial intelligence (AI). Microsoft hopes that AI-powered Bing can compete with Google's dominance in the search engine market.

In a meeting with advertising agency this week, Microsoft showed a new Bing demo and said it plans to allow paid links in response to search results.

The existence of a generative AI, which can generate genuine answers in human voices in response to open questions or requests, has recently received great attention.
