Expansion Of The European Export Market, Ministry Of Industry Facilitation 11 IKM Expenditure Crafts At The German Ambiente Exhibition
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) through the Directorate General of Small and Medium Industries (Ditjen IKMA) routinely facilitates IKM assisted in the handicraft and home decoration sector to participate in the Ambiente exhibition.
A total of 11 facilitated IKMs have gone through a series of curation and assistance before being dispatched to Germany.
The eleven facilitated IKMs include Siji Lifestyle, Java Classic Furniture, PT Bana Andaru, Hasibuan Design, PT Indo Risakti, Bambu Mohoi, Yogya Indo Global. Then, Art Classic Indonesia, Abbacraft Multi Kreasi, CV.Grandis Home, and PT Alami Sejahtera Nusantara.
"The facilitated IKM company is able to record its export performance and has the opportunity to have a wider market by attracting consumers from various countries," said Director General of Small, Medium and Multifarious Industries (IKMA) of the Ministry of Industry Reni Yanita in Jakarta, Monday, February 20.
According to Reni, Ambiente is one of the prestigious exhibitions in Europe that can be an opportunity for national IKM to build networks and export performance.
"A total of 4,561 industries participated in Ambiente 2023, including 72 companies from Indonesia. This exhibition was also visited by 154,000 people from 170 countries," he said.
Reni revealed that during the five days of the exhibition, it was recorded that the total sales transactions of the 11 facilitated IKM reached US $ 651,928.65 or around Rp. 9.9 billion.
The transaction value will still increase, considering that there are 59 deals with potential buyers.
"This shows that our IKM still has a fairly high competitiveness in the global market, even though this exhibition is the first since the COVID-19 pandemic," he said.
Reni said that the export performance of IKM players who participated in the Ambiente exhibition was considered quite brilliant every year.
"In 2019, eight participants involved recorded a total sales value at the exhibition of US$1.57 million and the export value after the exhibition penetrated US$3.28 million," he said.
For Reni, the perpetrators of handicraft IKM in the country have great potential to continue to be developed.
The Ministry of Industry noted that the export performance of national handicraft products reached 949 million US dollars in 2022.
"Seeing these conditions, the opportunity for the development of the handicraft industry is widespread," he added.
Previously, in 2018, the sales value of six participants at the exhibition was recorded at US$705,200u and the export value after the exhibition became US$1.2 million.
Meanwhile, in 2017, eight participants recorded a sales value of 439,600 US dollars with an export value after the exhibition reaching 950,000 US dollars.
For your information, as many as 11 handicraft IKMs participated in the international scale exhibition, namely Ambiente, which took place at Messe Frankfurt, Germany, on February 3-7, 2023.
In 2023, Ambiente will be held physically again after the last two years were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
