South Jakarta Police Resigned Suspension, Free Black Fortuner Driver
JAKARTA - Giorgio Ramadan (24), a suspect in the case of destroying yellow Brio in Senopati, has finally received a suspension of detention from the South Jakarta Metro Police. The black Fortuner driver is reported to have left the detention room.
"The suspension of detention has been approved. So it has gone home, but the case is still ongoing," said Head of Public Relations of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Nurma Dewi, when confirmed, Monday, February 20.
Nurma said Giorgio Ramadhan proposed the suspension of detention on Friday, February 17 and was approved by the investigative team.
Nurma explained that her party agreed to postpone Giorgio's detention because the reporter, AW, had withdrawn the police report and the two parties had reconciled.
"He also wants to pay the loss, does not lose evidence and does not run away," he said.
When asked when Giorgio was officially released from detention, Nurma could not provide details regarding this matter. However, his party emphasized that this case was still ongoing and now Giorgio is required to report twice a week.
"If the SP3 is done, it means solving it's a problem, but until now it is still mandatory to report it," he said.
The South Jakarta Police have detained a man suspected of destroying a car in the Senopati area, Giorgio Ramadhan (GR), even though the victim, AW (38), has reported the case.
Suspect GR can be released from prison, if the police have imposed an Investigation Termination Order (SP3), namely a notification letter from a police investigator that the case investigation has been stopped.
"The conditions for'restorative justice' are that the suspect submits an application and then waits for approval from the reporting party," he said.
AW officially withdrew the police report Number: LP/B/II/2023/SPKT/POLRES METRO JAKSEL/POLDA METRO JAYA. The report was made on February 12, 2023.
