The Case Of Emirsyah Satar, The Witness Calls The Selection Of Bombardier Because Of The Cheaper Price
JAKARTA - In the continuation of the trial of former Garuda Indonesia President Director Emirsyah Satar at the Central Jakarta District Court, Thursday, February 6, three witnesses stated that the selection of the Bombardier CRJ 1000 NG aircraft in the procurement of sub-100 aircraft (aircraft with seats under 100), Garuda Indonesia proposal by the Election Team which is then approved by the board of directors through a meeting of the board of directors.
The witnesses said that all participants in the board of directors meeting were given the opportunity to express their opinions freely. The witness stated that there was no direction, pressure, or even intervention in the selection of the Embraer E190 or Bombardier CRJ1000 aircraft.
The three witnesses were Puji Nur Handayani, a member of the sub-100 seater aircraft selection team (aircraft with seats under 100), Prijastono who is also a member of the sub-100 seater aircraft selection team, and Sri Mulyati, Vice President of Internal Audit for Garuda Indonesia.
Sri Mulyati, Puji Nur Handayani, and Prijastono further stated that in the meeting, Emirsyah Satar never asked to include the net present value component (current price and future price, even though the value is the same but the value is different) and the route result in calculating the criteria.
"Pak Emir never directed, coerced, or intervened in the team to propose the selection of the Bombardier aircraft," said the witnesses in the statement received by VOI, Friday, February 7.
Witness Puji stated, in the process there was indeed a change in the aircraft proposal by the team. This change occurred because in the board of directors' meeting, the team received input from the board of directors to deepen the study and did not use too many assumptions in calculating the criteria.
"Initially the team proposed selecting the Embraer E190 aircraft on the basis of the assumption that the load factor was more than the number of passengers and cargo because the Embraer E190 aircraft was larger, while the Bombardier CRJ1000 was only superior to economic criteria, because the price was cheaper than the Embraer E190," said Puji.
Following up on the input from the board of directors' meeting, Puji continued, based on the internal discussion of the selection team, the team finally changed the proposal to select a sub-100 seater aircraft, from the Embraer E190 to the Bombardier CRJ1000 which was in fact around 3 million US dollars cheaper than the Embraer E190. .
In connection with the change in the team's proposal, Emirsyah Satar even ordered the Internal Audit Unit (SPI) under the Vice President of Internal Audit, Sri Mulyati to conduct a calculation and performance audit of the team's proposed changes.
In the trial, witnesses Sri Mulyati, Puji, and Prijastono also confirmed that in 2011 Garuda was already a public company, so that the Fleet Plan could be accessed by the public from the Garuda website.
Meanwhile, witness Ni Made Merilya from Bvlgari Resort stated that he only gave information based on documents and he never saw Emirsyah Satar in Bvlgari.
