Title Not A Goal For Erik Ten Hag With Manchester United, At Least For The Time

JAKARTA - Manchester United won a landslide victory over Leicester City three goals without reply at Old Trafford Stadium, Sunday 19 February.

Thanks to this victory, Manchester United is increasingly firmly perched in third place. The Red Devils are now collecting 49 points.

Bruno Fernandes and his friends shortened the distance between the second-placed leader Manchester City to just three points. Meanwhile, with Arsenal leaders, MU is now five points behind.

Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag, is reluctant to think about the title even though now the opportunity is quite open. The man from the Netherlands wants to concentrate on building a better version of MU than talking about title competition.

"We don't think about that, we think of tomorrow, we have to be a better version of ourselves and that's what we have to fight for," Ten Hag told the BBC.

"We are in February, don't look far ahead," he continued.

Ten Hag has many opportunities to end their thirst for the title of MU. Apart from the Premier League, the Red Devils are also still fighting for trophies in the Europa League and the English League Cup.

In the Europa League, MU will face Barcelona in the second leg of the last 16 play-off on Thursday. Tickets are in sight after a 2-2 draw in the first leg which took place at Barcelona headquarters, Camp Nou.

While in the English League Cup, Manchester United will face Newcastle United in the final which will take place at Wembley three days later.
