Capitol Hill Building Riots, A Number Of White House Officials Resign
JAKARTA - Unrest occurred in the Capitol Hill Building, as a result of Donald Trump's supporters who were disappointed by the defeat of their champion to President-elect Joe Biden. This caused the US Congress to discuss the determination of the results of the US Presidential Election to be stopped and resumed a few moments later after the situation was under control.
Another aftermath of the chaos on Capitol Hill is the resignation of a number of officials around Donald Trump and his wife. Among these, First Lady Melania Trump's top aide Stephanie Grisham.
A number of other officials are also considering resigning, such as National Security Adviser Robert O''Brien and his deputy Matthew Pottinger. White House Social Secretary Rickie Niceta and White House Deputy Secretary Sarah Matthews also reportedly resigned.
There is also Deputy White House Chief of Staff Chirs Liddell who is said to be resigning. The White House did not want to comment on the news about the resignation of a number of these officials.
It is known, Stephanie Grisham resigned as chief of staff for the first lady, after supporters of President Donald Trump caused chaos on Capitol Hill to prevent the US Congress from approving the results of the US Presidential Election which was won by Joe Biden.
“It is an honor to serve the country in the White House. I am very proud to be a part of Mrs. Trump for helping children everywhere, and is proud of the many achievements this administration has made, "Grisham said in a statement.
