Student UPH Who Reported Cases Of Treatment Claims To Know Perpetrators From Social Media
TANGERANG - A student from Pelita Harapan University (UPH) with the initials AS who is suspected of experiencing persecution and threats from the alleged perpetrator, BJK, apparently knew each other from social media.
He recounted the beginning of his meeting with BJK. From Instagram social media, then they often communicated until they finally dated.
However, this love turned out to be a disaster for the victim. The reason is, as long as he and the alleged perpetrator are involved, he often gets violence from his ex-girlfriend.
"Actually, from his friend, he followed Instagram, kept chatting. Last year was a response. Then he asked me to meet him and so we met," said AS during a live Instagram seen by VOI, Saturday, February 18.
The US revealed that initially the persecution took place on June 7, 2022. He admitted that he had experienced acts of violence five times.
"The perpetrator abused me starting from dragging me into the car and pushing me into his car, pushing my nose until I shifted it, locking my head into the dashboard, glass and steering wheel of the car, grabbed me, slapped me, dragged and swerved me to the ground and the worst strangled me while saying mati lo anj**, he said.
Report Police and Komnas Perempuan
For this incident, the US claimed to report to the campus in January 2023. Then he also reported to the National Commission on Violence against Women or Komnas Perempuan and the South Tangerang Police.
The report was registered with the number TBL/B356/II/2023/SPKT/South Tangerang Police/Polda Metro Jaya.
"I've reported it, to Komnas already, Komnas is a woman, her father's company, campus, then the police are done. Just stay waiting for the process," he said.
The US hopes that the cases it experiences can be processed by the police until the BJK is made a suspect. The goal is that there are no other victims like him.
Hopefully the perpetrator is arrested, and becomes a suspect. Yes, that's all. (The problem is) pity for you, if I'm just okay, this is from June being beaten. It turns out that there are a lot of people, what DM me is, from a rather mature age, a younger brother in his class, to his class, outside the unknown," he said.
Police Follow-up
The Head of Public Relations of the South Tangerang Police, Ipda Galih, confirmed that his party had received the report.
"That it is true that we from the South Tangerang Police, on February 15, 2023, received the police report from the US which reported alleged acts of abuse," said Galih in his statement.
Galih also explained that the US abuse took place on November 25, 2022. Currently, the case has been investigated by the South Tangerang Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
"For this case, it is still in the process of investigating the South Tangerang Police Criminal Investigation Unit," he concluded.
