The Russian Military Received The First Wave Of BMP-3 Recently, Equipped With A Sodemic System And Additional Protection
JAKARTA - The company engaged in the High-Precision Systems Holding Company (part of the state technology company Rostec) has sent the latest batch of infantry fighting vehicles (IFV) BMP-3 to Russian troops this year.
"The High-Precision Systems Holding Company in state company Rostec has delivered the first batch of BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles under its 2023 defense procurement plan," the company's press office said in a statement citing TASS February 3.
"In addition to BMP-3, BTR-MDM air vehicles and military hardware will be delivered to the Russian Ministry of Defense following major modifications this year," the statement continued.
The BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle produced by the Kurganmashzavod defense manufacturer (part of the High Precision System) features a key vision of the Sodem shooter operator, as well as a screen fund protection grid as extra protection.
It is known, Sodema helped the crew of this combat vehicle to observe the battlefield, detect and identify targets, and measure the distance from the vehicle to the target.
State technology companies continue to deliver the military hardware needed in the special military operations zone in Ukraine, director of the Rostec Armed Cluster Industry Bekkhan Ozdoyev stressed.
"The maker of the Kurgan engine has successfully fulfilled the 2022 defense procurement plan and started the first shipment based on the contract for this year. In particular, the first batch of BMP-3s has been sent to the troops and throughout the year customers will also receive an upgraded multipurpose BTR-MDM Rak divided armored personnel carrier vehicle. In addition, the Ministry of Defense will get a BREM-L armored repair and recovery vehicle," he explained.
Kurganmashzavod has been operating in special mode since 2022 and some of its production units are producing products around the clock.
