IDX 'Calls' Raffi Ahmad, Ari Lasso, To Kaesang But No One Has Confirmed Attendance
JAKARTA - The action of showing off shares by influencers such as Raffi Ahmad, Ari Lasso and the son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) Kaesang Pangarep resulted in a warning in the form of a summons from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). However, none of the influencers has been confirmed to attend.
IDX Corporate Secretary Yulianto Aji Sadono, when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, January 7, said that currently his party is still collecting data on who the influencers will be called to come to discuss.
"Currently, the IDX is collecting data on influencers who will be invited to the discussion later. So no one will confirm their attendance. We have yet to determine the timing itself," said Aji.
Aji said the IDX meeting with influencers was in the context of education. This, said Aji, is a routine activity to increase capital market literacy and inclusion through social media.
Previously, IDX Director of Trade and Member Assessment Laksono Widodo when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, January 5, said that his party would invite Raffi and Ari Lasso to discuss their actions in recommending shares of one of the issuers.
He actually welcomed Raffi and Ari's initiative to invite people to invest. However, he reminded the two public figures that they have a big moral responsibility as influencers.
"But it also needs to remind them of their moral responsibility for their followers and the potential for potential lawsuits from their followers if anyone can be disappointed," said Laksono.
Meanwhile, when asked about other public figures, in this case Kaesang Pangarep, Laksono said, the same was true for President Jokowi's youngest son. According to him, Kaesang will also be invited to discuss the recommendations of Sangmology, which has become his jargon on Twitter.
"Invitation to discussion applies to all influencers," said Laksono.
For information, Raffi Ahmad in uploads on Instagram social media, said he had entered the world of capital markets in the last three weeks. The husband of Nagita Slavina admitted that this is the first time he has invested in stocks.
The 33-year-old man said that investing in stocks is an option to face times of uncertainty amid the COVID-19 pandemic. In the @ raffinagita1717 account he shared about his experience investing in shares of PT M Cash Integration Tbk (MCAS).
"With a situation like this we have to really fight, whatever we have to learn with the development of IT and technology. For all of you, you guys try to trace MCAS," said Raffi.
PT M Cash Integration Tbk is a subsidiary of PT Kresna Graha Investama Tbk. Raffi said, since he put his money in MCAS, the issuer's shares have jumped 20 percent to 30 percent.
Meanwhile, Ari Lasso said that investing in stocks is one way to prepare for the future. According to him, everyone must have the awareness to invest, especially in this pandemic. Ari claims that the post is not a paid post.
"This (MCAS) in how many months the increase is very significant, this is not endorsement, nothing, just sharing in order to have awareness of investing in the right instrument," said Ari.
As for Kaesang on his personal Twitter account, he often tweeted about his portfolio. It is known that Kaesang narrowed the shares of two BUMNs, namely PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS), and PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM).
