ID FOOD Ngutang Rp8 Trillion To Carry Out The Assignment Of Importing White Crystall Sugar And Beku Cow Meat
JAKARTA - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) has ensured that the funding used by ID FOOD to carry out the assignment of imports of white crystalline sugar (GKP) and frozen beef this year comes from bank loans, aka debt. The total funding reached IDR 8 trillion.
The budget is allocated to import 237,575 tons of white crystal sugar, equivalent to 250,000 tons of crude crystal sugar. Meanwhile, the assignment for frozen beef imports is 100,000 tons.
Special Staff to the Minister of SOEs, Arya Sinulingga, said that this procurement was assigned to ID FOOD to meet needs in 2023, including supplying food stock preparations ahead of Ramadan.
Regarding funding sources, Arya ensured that the government would not inject the budget through the state capital participation scheme (PMN). Therefore, bank loans are an alternative funding for the current holding.
"This assignment is definitely the source of funds from banks, so procurement, management of ID FOOD's duties, funding schemes, not PMN, PMN training, banking funds," said Arya when met at the Ministry of SOEs, Jakarta, Friday, February 17.
For your information, the decision of the Ministry of SOEs regarding the funding for the imports of these two commodities is different from the scheme conveyed by the President Director of ID FOOD, Frans Marganda Tambunan.
Frans explained that the government borne the import funding of the two commodities. However, before the government disbursed the budget, ID FOOD first used the company's internal funds.
"Actually, we have a funding scheme from the government, but before that we use our own (budget). Approximately Rp. 8 trillion," he said when met in the Hypermart Puri Indah area, Kembangan, West Jakarta, Wednesday, February 8.
Frans said, the imports of the two commodities began before entering Ramadan in March 2023. The goal is to meet the needs of the community during the Ramadan and Eid period. The imports of beef will be sent from Brazil and carried out in stages.
