At 08.40 WIT, while taking aerial photographs right at Benangin, the pilot smelled fuel. Then, he landed on the Benangin helipad and saw a hole in the body of the plane then the pilot returned to helipad 66 Tembagapura.
"After the PK-ZGM helicopter arrived at helipad 66, the pilot checked and found a small hole in the bottom of the helicopter, then reported it to PT FI security for further checks," he said.
After receiving this information, personnel from the Mimika Police and Tembagapura Police conducted crime scenes and examined witnesses to reveal the perpetrators of shooting the helicopter.
