Dozens Of Civil Servants In West Aceh Are Sanctioned Due To Truancy On The First Day Of Work

JAKARTA - As many as 64 civil servants (PNS) in the West Aceh District Government have received sanctions with special allowances (TC) deductions after being proven absent on the first day of work in 2021.

"There are about 64 state civil servants (ASN) or civil servants (PNS) who have been sanctioned," said West Aceh District Government spokesman Amril Nuthihar in Meulaboh, reported by Antara, Thursday, January 7.

According to him, the sanctions imposed on tens of ASNs were because they violated Government Regulation No. 53/2010 concerning Civil Servant Discipline.

Amril Nutihar explained, according to the results of a sudden inspection led by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of West Aceh Regency on Monday, January 4, as many as 1,464 civil servants were registered to work on the first day of work in 2021.

Meanwhile, 64 ASNs were absent, 27 were sick with information, seven leave permits, 12 absent from work and four outside service personnel.

"In accordance with the leadership's instructions, the West Aceh Regency Government will still carry out strict sanctions against civil servants who violate the rules, in accordance with the applicable provisions," said Amril.

These sanctions are applied so that ASN discipline in the West Aceh District Government is expected to increase, so that it is expected to maximize public services in a number of government agencies in this area, said Amril Nutihar.
