CIAPASA - Cipanas Firefighters, Cianjur Regency, West Java, rescued a rare type of limp animal in the Mount Kasur area, Gadog Village, Cipanas District, in a weak condition with the body injured allegedly due to a blunt object blow.Cipanas Headquarters Firefighters, Luki Nurdiansyah, said that his party received reports from residents and village officials regarding rare Lutung species found by residents in hilly areas known as Mount Kasur."The first time it was found by residents and handed over to village officials because they knew that the lutung was a rare and protected animal, then we came to the village office and took the wound to the Cipanas Damkar Mako," he said when contacted, Antara, Friday, February 17.His party, said Luki, would carry a bag that could not stand up and only lay down to the veterinarian to confirm his health condition, because the wounds on his head and legs were suspected to be the cause of the rare animal being limp. While waiting for officers from the West Java Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) who have been contacted, his party will care for endemic forest animals in West Java, including in Cianjur."We have asked animal health workers to monitor the condition of the bag, while waiting for veterinarians and officers from the BKSDA that we have contacted to be taken to a conservation area," he said.Meanwhile, residents around Mount Kasur, said that this is the first time they have found rare turbic species because so far in the forest environment and the slopes are only inhabited by wild monkeys."There are indeed many monkeys in the forest environment of Mount Kasur, but this is the first time residents have found them. Maybe from the protected forest under Mount Kasur or Lutung whose owner deliberately released it," said Gadog youth figure Adjat Sudrajat.
