Investment In Karawang Targeted To Reach IDR 40 Trillion In 2023

JAKARTA - Karawang Regent Cellica Nurrachadiana said that investment in her area this year or 2023 is targeted to reach IDR 40 trillion.

"We want the flow of investment to continue to increase," said the Regent, in Karawang, West Java, quoted from Antara, Friday, February 17.

He said that the investment target this year, which reached IDR 40 trillion, increased compared to the previous year.

"Alhamdulillah, in 2022, Karawang will be in the top five national regions with the largest investment achievements in Indonesia after Bekasi, Surabaya, Halmahera, and Morowali," he said again.

Last year, he also said, Karawang also succeeded in exceeding the investment target set.

According to him, in 2022 the central government will set an investment target in Karawang of IDR 29 trillion. Meanwhile, the realization exceeded the target or reached IDR 37 trillion.

The Regent admitted that he wanted the flow of investment to continue to increase, including this year.

He stated that infrastructure and security are the most important keys in attracting investors.

"Therefore, we realize that collaboration with all parties is needed. Especially in increasing road and bridge infrastructure. So that it will increase the investment feasibility index in Karawang," he said again.

There are several points of congestion and damage, especially roads to industrial areas that need to be collaborated with regional consortiums.

"The better our infrastructure, the more attractive investors are and the more impact on creating jobs," he also said.
