Ridwan Kamil Implemented 2 Weeks Work From Home In West Java

BANDUNG - West Java Governor M Ridwan Kamil said the West Java Provincial Government will prepare a technical basis for the implementation of restrictions on population activity from 11-25 January 2021. Activity restrictions are applied in the Greater Bandung and Bogor, Depok and Bekasi (Bodebek) areas.

"West Java will do WFH (work from home) in Bodebek and Bandung Raya. The technicality will be delivered tomorrow, starting January 11 for two weeks," said M Ridwan Kamil or usually called Kang Emil in Bandung, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, January 6.

According to him, the West Java Provincial Government ensures that it will immediately follow up on the central government's directives regarding activity restrictions for handling the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The first directive is for a pandemic so that regions focus on preparing work from home or WFH plans for areas with a high increase in COVID-19 cases, including West Java," he said.

Kang Emil said that before it was enforced, his party would maximize the remaining time to socialize to the public.

In addition, Kang Emil also asked the mass media to help educate the public about the importance of handling the COVID-19 pandemic.

"So before January 11, 2021, I will disseminate restaurant restrictions and others. There are still five days later this will be conveyed to the media," he said.

Previously, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto said a number of areas in Java-Bali would impose restrictions on population activities during the 11-25 January 2021 period.

This was conveyed by Airlangga after attending the Cabinet Plenary Session led by President Jokowi at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Wednesday.

"The implementation of limited restrictions is carried out in the Java-Bali Province, because the province meets one of the four parameters set," Airlangga said in a virtual press conference in Jakarta, Wednesday.

Airlangga said that a number of areas in Java-Bali that have been subject to activity restrictions, namely, in Jakarta and its surroundings cover all of DKI Jakarta, Bogor, Bogor, Depok, Bekasi and Bekasi Regencies.

In Banten it includes Tangerang, Tangerang Regency, South Tangerang and Tangerang Raya. In West Java, outside Jabodetabek, namely Bandung, West Bandung Regency and Cimahi Regency.
